Hi

I have attached a mill/turn post. Is it possible to change the milling from outputting C Axis movements and use the Y axis instead?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Can you share a model?

Because if the operation has to go below X0 it will by default switch to C-axis instead of Y-axis.

Share a "dumb" sample file that contains some idea of the geomery?

If your issue indeed is that you are cutting on/below the X centerline, you need to change a value in the post to allow for that. I've screenshotted the place you need to be. See the line numbers on the left and the description of your machine model on the top line. This is where you would need to change the 0 to how far your tool can go below centerline. (Usually, this is tricky as it's further on one end of the Y-axis stroke than on the other end, hence generally 0 is used.)

No.

It will just make sure that when possible it uses Y-axis. Otherwise would use C-axis.

The machine I'm programming for has not got G12.1 enabled and when I output for milling we are getting an alarm.

We need to output the milling with X & Y Axis moves. Not C Axis moves. i have tried the edit you suggested and this is not working.

How can we output X & Y Axis moves?
