Post Processor Wont Export to Multiple WCSs

Heya,

 

Really struggling with post processing here. I've been working solely in G53/54 for all the CAM work I've done so far but thought I'd introduce multiple WCSs after watching this video from NY CNC showed me how easy it is to set up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Qtvj5iM_VI

 

How wrong I was.

 

I've checked 'Multiple WCS offsets' and set the duplicates to 2 or more but when I post-process the code is no different to that which is processed without it checked. I have a feeling there is something I need to change in my post processor. Would that be right? It's not something I feel confident messing about without a bit of guidance.

 

Has anyone had a similar issue when using this feature?

 

For info: I'm running Fusion 360 to drive a Mach3 machine and I'm currently using the Generic Posts Mach3Mill as my post processor with no changes made to it. To try and locate the issue I have tried using alternative post processors but these also compile without repeat operations on additional WCSs.

It is working fine for me actually, Did you edited default processor at any time

Just try this download the mach3 post processor again from online

Post Library

and use it while post processing

 

Still have any issues record yourself a video of your work flow and post it here

Are you certain that you are using the generic Mach3 post? I only ask because right off the bat, I'm seeing difference between what you posted and what I'm getting

 

My first few lines:

G90 G94 G91.1 G40 G49 G17
G21
G28 G91 Z0.
G90

(2D ADAPTIVE)

Your first few lines:

G90 G54 G50 G17 G40 G80 G91.1 G49
G21 (Metric)
G30

N10(2D Adaptive1)

So, there are noticeable differences, which makes me question the post you are using. 

 

If you are selecting the operation to post out, you will not get multiple WCS. You need to select the Setup itself.

When i'm back i'll generate new code from the file i uploaded and compare this to your output. As you can see from the backets screen shot i had run the post processor a few times trying different things so i just want to be sure it was generated exactly as in the set up you're looking at.

Thank you Seth!

So I've been selecting the tool path of interest and clicking 'Post Process' in the ribbon. 

It seems that when you do this it doesn't consider multiple WCSs, whereas if I select the setup that contains the path instead and generate the code it does notice that I have multiple WCS offsets checked.

I guess this makes some kind of sense as I'm changing the setup, not the path.

 

This is great, gonna try it out tonight and hopefully, Mach3 doesn't hold any surprises when interpreting the code.
