Post Processor Precision (decimal places)

I am running into an error using LinuxCNC (see below), and it appears this may be due to Fusion only outputting 3 decimal precision. I have found in the LinuxCNC documentation that when working in inches, four decimal precision should be used. Any way to change this within Fusion? Or maybe there is some other obvious solution to this error?

 

I am not able to machine a part I need, due to this error. Check the spoiler below the error message to see the gcode. Line N90 is the troublemaker.

It looks like lines 100 to 110 are giving you 4 decimal places, the only reason you have less on other line is because trailing zeros have been removed. The code back plots ok so I don't know why you are getting an error, are the any settings for arc correction in LinuxCNC.

I have a couple of questions from what I'm seeing. Does your machine support arcs not in the XY plane? If not try putting a 0 in your vertical lead-in radius. That will get rid of the G18 line.

 

The second is does your control setup need the G2 or G3 on every arc move? If it does it’s a simple post fix to correct it.

Good catch. I posted this late and completely missed the four decimals elsewhere. I use Gwizard Editor for backplot and it works perfectly there too,

I belive it does support arcs in the outside of the XY plane, as I have used F360 many times for similar operations.

I'm not sure about needing G2 or G3 on each arc, and I will test that tonight and report back. Thanks!

Well I wasted a ton of time trying to fix this and never did. I shut down linuxCNC as a guess and sure enough, the next time I loaded the program I received no errors.
