Post Processor for Takisawa NEX108-M

Hi all,

 

We just recently got our first CNC lathe at work and I've been trying to get it running, im having a problem getting the post processors in the library to do what I need to. I know the first step is to get one that's close but most of the mill/turn processors haven't been working too well. I have had good luck with the fanuc turning post processor but I have to manually add any moves with the live tooling. is it possible to modify the post to do mill turn or am I better off working on a mill/turn post?

Are you using the actual Takisawa Mill/Turn Post Processor or just using a Generic Fanuc one ?

I have attached the only Takisawa PP I could find just in case you don`t have the latest version.

I've got nothing to add to what @engineguy posted. The one he shared is the best place to start from. Where did he get it? The HSM Post Library on the internet.

Not all the HSM posts are included in the download of Fusion, simply due to file size and data management. These are still available for free, just that it requires the user to seek them out.

I did try the takisawa woth no luck as well as the Siemens, cnc new gt, okuma, samsung, nakamura, and doosan, the okuma post required the least manual editing but still a considerable amount more manual editing than the generic fanuc mill post

Are you saying that the Takisawa Mill/Turn did not work at all, but the generic Fanuc did?
I would certainly not cross platforms and look at anything Siemens, as the language is quite unique to that control.

Okuma....yeah, there's gonna be stuff not supported.

 

So, what about the Takisawa DIDN'T work? Do you have sample code, both what DOES run, and what DOESN'T?

Attached is 2 programs, 1001 is straight from post, and 2035 is edited manually. The lathe doesn't have a y axis so it wont accept y code, it also wouldn't accept A or V codes. after the speeds there was a P11 which if left in with a g96 would throw an error saying G96 illegal axis selected. m70 m73 m74 m97 and m141 all gave me an error saying mstb sgnl not completed. also attached is a pdf containing the quick reference from takisawa. any and all help is much obliged, thanks
