Post processor for Siemens 840d (DMU50, year2001)

Hello,

Does anyone have proven experience using Fusion 360 posting to a DMU-50 (2001 model) with a Siemens 840d controller?

If so, could you share the post-processor you use and/or what tweeks were needed to make it happen?

We do have an 840D post processor, it is configured for an A and C axis. I know there are users out there with similar machine/control combos, but I can't speak to their success directly

I used the "Cheaper" DMU50 ecoline with an 812. The default post seems to work with no trouble. I did have to make one change, I dont know if it was just the peculiarity of our machine. At the very end of the post I had to change the (SUP A) call and hard code it to be -.05 because if it was left at zero the machine would hit the software limit switch and alarm out. But I think that may just be how our machine was set up.

I've tried that post-processor but it crashed the controller and wouldn't run the code. That's why I'm asking if anyone has proven good experience. I might need to tweek the post by hand to make it work on my machine but I'm not sure where...

Just multiple errors and warnings of this and that... Can't remember exactly which. Chased a couple of them down but gave up eventually.
