Post not creating .nc file

I select my machine and post grbl,  name the file and click on post.   the post process dialog box just closes without creating a .nc file.   It does however create an ncprogram on the browser.   there no error messages at all.   I've tried everything i can think of.   anyone have any idea what i should do?     Thanks

This is my first project on Fusion and my first cnc project. So  it could vary well be something I'm overlooking.   But it feels like it may be a program bug because there are no error messages or warnings.

Isn't there already an NC program created on the default path?
Since you say there is no error, please refer to the article below, turn on the option and try printing again.

Would you be able to capture your steps in a screen recording and then share that recording here?

I've had this happen a few times. OP are you using a Mac and does your code editor pop up with no gcode? Are you posting to a USB flash drive?

Using windows.  I've tried saving to flash drive.  Tried saving to default folder.  Editor does not open.  Nothing happens other than a NCprogram is created on the browser.  Right click on it and click on open NC  output folder and nothing happens.

Does this happen every time you try and post or are you able to successfully post sometimes?

Can you post a video of what you're doing?

Just FYI I don't think you attached the video properly.

Hmm. You could always try uploading it to youtube and then either posting the link or hitting this button:

Are you running multiple monitors?

What happens when you click on this button here:

Single monitor.   That just opens up output Folder.  Which is empty.     I've removed and reinstalled Fusion, no difference.

Started a whole new design.  Just a simple square with a round recessed hole. went through the setup process no issues. created tool path, nice and cleanly. all check marks are green.   Click on post process and same thing happens.  creates a NCprogram but no file. dialog box just closes.     Extremely frustrating!!

I notice you have post to Fusion team checked, not sure if you can save to a usb and team at the same time.

Try unchecking this option.

I just posted with the below settings (Output folder = flash drive + "Post to Fusion team" selected):

Screenshot 2023-12-28 at 8.09.37 AM.png

Not only was my file posted to my flash drive, file opened in my code editor, and link to the file in my hub opened in my browser, but I actually have 2 post files (1 duplicate) in my specified Fusion team output folder and the blue loading circle that wouldn't go away until I clicked the refresh button:

So at least in my case I can post to both places at the same time.
