Parallel toolpath not touching bottom of shallow surface

I'm experiencing an issue with the parallel toolpath where the tool does not reach the bottom of the surface I'm trying to finish. This shows up in the simulation and the actual part. I tried changing settings within the parallel toolpath to no avail.

I think this is just a graphical error. When I look at your tool path and turn the points on you can see that it is actually doing a circular segment for the entire face. Screenshot below.

You can also see in the simulation that the blue toolpath line "disappears" below the green model which is another tell tale sign that the simulation isn't an accurate representation of the toolpath.

Just re-read your message and notice you said it shows up in the actual part, maybe this is backlash on your machine? The toolpath to me looks to be good based on my observations in the post above.

Nothing sticks out as wrong but have a look at the attached file.

I tried the tolerance and smoothing values of 0.0001" and 0.001" respectively suggested by daniel_lyall which seemed to make the simulation look better, but it looked the same on the part. I'm looking into a way to reduce or compensate for the backlash on my machine, which seems like a plausible cause. 

 

For now, I modified the design slightly which got me closer to what it should be but the issue is still there.

Did you try machining your part? How did it turn out compared to the simulation?
