New Update Auto Opens "NC Programs"

Every time a MFG workspace is selected on the new update now "NC Programs" always opens.

Was this a conscious design decision to do that, or is it by accident?

Not sure if I've ever used that area, not sure why the behavior all the sudden changed, but I have to minimize it after each file open.

@graham178

As far as I know that is expected behaviour.

Question, why would you have many NC Program instances ??

I only ever have one, if I wish to re-post part/all of the Program then I select the NC Program > Right Click > Select Edit > Then select/deselect required Setups/Operations to Post out to the desired Folder with the desired name/number.

Just the way I do it, works great for me 🙂

In the post dialog, under where the file names are, there is a checkbox that says "Create NC File" or something to that effect (I don't have Fusion open right now.) Uncheck that box and it will not add that list in your browser. You will however have to delete all the ones it had already made.

Fusion never used to auto-open the NC Program dialog on any of our machines

Adding to what @jswickJ9PWC said, uncheck the highlighted checkbox when you are posting.

Change is frustrating sometimes but there are reasons for pushing the new posting dialogue (more customization, easier to switch between posts/machines, cloud posts, etc.)

Adding to @engineguy 's post, the NC programs are handy for higher volume work - you don't have to navigate through your toolpaths to pick which ones you want to post over & over again, set it up once and it's one click the next time. For prototypes or jobs that are "post-as-you-go" I always have "Create in browser" unchecked.

Thanks for your response, I did have it checked by default, not sure why, now it's unchecked!
