NC Code Failed to Post after Update

Forgive me as I'm new to this, and I don't even know what I don't know.

I built a home-made CNC using the JD's garage plans and have been using the OpenBuilds CNC : GRBL/BlackBox post processor with some decent success. A day or so ago (4/9/24) Fusion popped up saying that it needed to update. I went ahead with the update (updated to version 2.0.18950), and now I am unable to post-process anything, only getting the error "NC Code Failed to Post". Parts that I've post processed a dozen times are now unable to post. For that matter, I can get NOTHING to post. Literally nothing has changed on my end other than updating Fusion, and I have no idea where to start.

I don't know if it's related, but the output error file shows the following message:

Error: Mismatching arguments for invocation of 'string VariableImpl.format(Number)' (Value is not a number.).
Error at line: 1767 (OpenbuildsFusion360PostGrbl.cps)
Error in operation: '2D Profile1'
Failed while processing onCommand() for record 283.

Please help a noob!

I'm guessing you're using a post processor from the GRBL community? Can you share it here?

For reference, we do offer a GRBL post, this might be more suitable for you.

Oh, and welcome to the Fusion community! CNC is an enjoyable journey and opens a lot of possibilities, for sure 🙂

Well, it looks like JD's garage already is on top of this. They already have a video up detailing the solution. It can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVKSVx7XmuY.  In a nutshell, the latest Fusion update wouldn't work with the existing post processor, and a new one had to be downloaded. That's SO ANNOYING. I understand software needs updates to incorporate new features, but when you're a guy like me who doesn't fully understand what's going on, but has learned just enough to make stuff with this software, I just wish I could opt out of these updates so I can keep using the software that is working for me. Cramming an update down my throat that I don't want or need, and that "breaks" my equipment costs me money in lost productivity.  =/

Unfortunately, we don't make any guarantees that third-party post processors remain unaffected from update to update. We maintain a large library of generic posts for many controllers and we can do automation testing against them to ensure they work for each release, but that's an impossible task for the posts that are created by third parties.

Could you share a link to where you download the post processor that you were using?
