milling concave (or convex) tool paths - tool path flares at the bottom rather than completing the surface

Hello,

 

I've run into this issue many times and I'm sure I'm not understanding something fundamental. When I want to mill a seemingly simple convex or concave surface I'm never able to get Fusion to make a tool path that completely removes all the material, faithfully reproducing said concave or convex surface. In the attached example, I'm using the 3D Spiral to mill a hemisphere and fusion does not mill all the way to the bottom, but instead flares out. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've attached a screenshot and the model in question.

Hi

 

Its due to your bottom height  preventing the tool from going lower

FACEPALM. I had model bottom selected, which is lower than the edge of the hemisphere, but Fusion must be using the tool diameter as well (which is greater than the difference between the hemisphere edge and bottom of the model).
