Hi..i try to mill a timing pulley..i use  a 2dcontour ,tool are like a slot mill (forming tool)

My machine are a Haas vf 4ss with a 210hrt 4 axis(a axis)

To make the cut i use the circular pattern in manufacture ,but when i read the g code i see unnecessary movements to g53 z0..every time I cut a new tooth. it takes a long time to go the tool to z reference point..

what have I done wrong??

i dont use tool orientation and my post are a haas ngc with a axis on

In order to achieve the code you are looking for, this will require some post edits. We don't include this behavior natively in the post, as it can lead to potentially dangerous situations (crashes).

yes, thats a safety move between A rotations. No way to disable on Haas - use find and replace and swap the string into a single space

Of course I've thought about that too..but I might have to run 50 or even 80 teeth. I can replace all the g53 but.. maybe some time, some day,I'll forget something or make changes to wrong g53🙉 and all going to crash. The thing is that the change is made by the program and not by making changes in the code.Thank you 🙂

I finally downloaded a post-processor  that I edited myself and instead of G53 ,the tool stays down to the clearance height.then i added some manual nc codes(pass-trough G53 G00 Z0.) for safety reasons.its looks like this
