Looking for help creating an object from a sketch

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum this is my first time in here.

Anyway; I'm trying to create the objects from an adafruit tutorial here: https://learn.adafruit.com/led-neon-signs-with-neopixels/3d-printing

It looks like they create a sketch and then use the sketch to create the body but i have no idea how to go about that. Normally id just go look up a YouTube tutorial but I'm too lost to even know what the term is im looking for. If i open the sketch in the project the body gets rebuilt and follows the sketch but I'm not sure how it does that... or where you define the thickness of the walls or base.

You can see how it has been created by following the "History" in Design Mode, at the bottom of your screen you should be able to see the list of operations and the "Play" buttons as in the image below.

Click on the Left end button to go to the start of the History and then go to the "Single" step button (Second from the Right) and you can see every step taken to create the Model in your file.

At each step you can "Right click and Edit" on the operation to see exactly the settings used to create that operation as in the second image, for example, this shows the settings used to cut the shape and the settings for Wall thickness. hope this helps 🙂 🙂 🙂
