Live Inspection Fusion 360 and my Machine wont connect

I have gone through the YouTube video countless of times but i have still yet to get a successful connection between my VF2 and fusion 360 using machine connect. It has been a very frustrating thing. If someone has any helpful advise that would be awesome.

I'm trying to do the same with a new VF4SS... in the video the guy shows going to inspection, dropping down the actions menu, and then establishing a connection. i think that option got updated away and i cant find it anywhere else... do you have this option?

I have done everything that the video shows, and the only real difference between that fusion and my fusion is i cannot connect to my machine through the inspection / actions tab. I have to go into my machine library and connect that way. But it still wont even connect when i do it that way. Im very confused why this wont work because ive done everything to the T

Sorry to hear your having difficulty setting it all up. This is going to be a long reply with a lot of questions but should make things quicker rather than going through them all one by one. 

Can you confirm you can ping the machine via command prompt?
Can I please see a picture of your machines wired network settings

Can I please see a screenshot of the machine connector settings in machine definition in Fusion. 

If you click Actions - Live connection  what do you see?
Does the machine connector executable start to run if it was not already? 
What does the status bar say on the top of live connection?
Have you run the NC code first and had it sitting in the while loop "Waiting for Fusion connection" then tried to connect in Fusion in that order. 

Again sorry for all the questions but hopefully will make it quicker. As many screenshots as you can will be really helpful or even better a video. 

I got used it 2 days ago so confident we can get it all up and running for you.

Thank you for the thorough response, here's what I've got going on...

I can ping the machine via command prompt

I've attached photos of the network settings, machine connector settings, and a snapshot of my dropdown actions menu. I think I'm missing the "live connection" option?

The machine connector executable runs fine but the plug icon stays greyed out.

I have tried running the NC code and it just loops indefinitely.

Can you confirm that on your machine setting 143 "machine data collect" is 8080.

This is what you have in the port number (8080) but the factory default is 5051.

Also could you attach the NC code you are trying to run.

@Chris_Townsley, thank you for all the images, 

You machine is saying its IP address is 192.168.1.137 however in Fusion its set to - 192.168.1.138 in the machine definition this has to match what's on your machine. 

Regarding starting the live connection from Fusion, its a feature flag you need to activate. 

This should then give you the live connection option.

Fixed! My feature flag was not available until I first unchecked a box, agreed to join the insider program, and then restarted fusion. Thank you for the help!

Will the Live Inspection work for a Heidenhain Tnc 640 control ?

Currently it's only available for HAAS controllers we are looking to expand so always good to ask so we can prioritize connections.
