Hello all,
I am currently working on an object the has the diameter of 2.5"/63.40mm in diameter and 25.10mm heigh. I am setting up a 2D Adaptive clearing to have this svg raised by 0.50mm. So I need to mill down to 24.60mm using a 1/8" fat end mill. You can see in the pic where the tool path shows where it cannot clear because of the size of the bit is too large for the smaller areas.
My question is: Setting the first operation using a 1/8" bit to do as much clearing as possible, then pick up where the system left off using a 1/32" bit for tighter areas and then the final operation would be to use a 1/64" bit where the 1/32" left off.
Shouldn't one be able to link operations together instead of having to waste time with the second and third clearing operation to follow same tool path as the first initial clearing?
I hope I'm explaining this where you all understand what the question is. Each operation I add using the smaller end mills Fusion 360 generates a tool path as if the other operation didn't clear any material already.
