Lead-in/out distance shortens chamfer contour

I want to extend the distance of the lead-out of a chamfer contour, but the contour selected gets shortened by the amount added to the lead-out distance parameter.

I've managed to solve this by using the End Extension Length in the Geometry tab.

Is this an intended behaviour?

I've added an example.

@seth.madore I derived a 2D contour to machine the same chamfer and it did not present this strange behavior.  Perhaps this is a bug in 2D Chamfer?

Thank you. It's just a little inconvenient, but fortunately it can be solved by other means.
