I am trying to use the new Trace operation on the Turning tab. I created a sketch for it to follow, but it will only follow part of the sketch, any ideas why it wont cut the way I want it to?

Hi

Without the file its hard to tell.

I see you have 3 open chains selected but it should only be one continuous chain.

If you could upload your file here it will be much easier to diagnose

Goto File>Export>Save as .f3d/.f3z

Unfortunately I am unable to share my model for various reasons, and fusion wont allow me to select the whole chain as one chain and it will not let me choose it as a sketch profile either.  One thing i have noticed in trying to get this working, is if I only select the third part of the sketched line it will give me the path shown on the images. but if I only select the first or even the second part of the sketch it will give me an empty cutting area error.

found the problem, even though the model was a spun profile I had to do a extrusion forcing the flatness of the top of the part to get it to trace my sketch.... ya explain that one. I took .001 off of the part dia. and everything started working
