Is there a way to upload a CAD model of my Lathe Tool Holder to Fusion? Or is the tool builder the only option?

At the moment, the tool builder is the only option, but we are working on improving that in the not too extremely distant future

Good to know, thank you!
Not much further along then when this thread was first started, unfortunately.

i really have a hard time understanding how this can be so deficient when the tool is what generates the tool path. if the tool is wrong, then so is the path. i have a custom trepan tool, but cannot define it. isnt fusion360 a CAD tool too?
cmon autodesk, put some effort into this feature.
isnt it embarrassing how lacking the lathe tool builder is when compared to other CAM?
All, just dropping in to let you know that work on this idea (importing of 3d STP data for Turning Tools) is progressing nicely. To get your hands on this functionality as soon as possible, I suggest >>> signing up to the Insider Program <<< and being among the first group of users who gain access to this functionality!

Hi, Looking forward to this functionality as I am part of the insider program however its not possible for me to make use of it as i understand it the Fusion that works for insiders is not compatible with regular Fusion. Or if it is possible to install both versions of fusion please advise.
It is possible to have both installed at the Same time.
Don't have both open at the same time though, only Production or only Insider
If you were to save a file in Insider right now it would not be able to be opened in Production(until the Production build Catches up)
