lathe Live tooling lathe without Y axis

I have a mazak lathe with live tooling. I am wanting to start using fusion for the lathe more. Current they use the conversational programing. Is anyone else programing a mazak qt300 with live tooling and no Y axis with fusion? I was messing around trying to thread mill a thread but its moving in the Y axis. Is that something the post will convert to the C or what? Any help will be appreciated.  Also wondering about pockets and engraving in the face. Same issue with that.

You will need a Mazak mill/turn lathe post, and I'm actually suprised to see that there arn't even 2 axis lathe posts in the HSM Post Library...

The motion would largely be handled in the Post Processor.

Yes there are, but they buy a post processor at there local reseller. Or let them create one.

There's not just an abundance of people using Fusion for their lathes.   I just started and am transitioning from Gibbs to Fusion and am finding that out.

The lathe portion of Fusion is honestly, still in it's infancy, when compared to other more established CAM packages. That said, I know that the Lathe dev team is working very hard at bringing a decent level of usability to the table, it's just that these things take time.

I also know that the Post development team does have a ticket in to create a Mazak QuickTurn post. I don't have any idea on timeline, sorry.

The update last Friday had some nice lathe improvements.   At IMTS I spent quite a while talking to a couple of the people in charge of the lathe side of Fusion and they assured me it's fairly high on the priority list right now.
