I don't understand what I don't get about this program.  I am using a Bantom Tools Desktop CNC Mill.  I have a small part I want to mill that has a corner taken out and a couple of outside fillets.  However, I just can't get it to create the toolpath.  It either won't do it at all, or it will only do a partial, and try to mill around the entire block, which I do not want.

Never mind, I did not select Rest Machining Stock.  I didn't realize that was a requirement. Sorry.

Have a look at the images below and tell us if this is what you want 🙂

If so then if you want to use the 2D Pocket Toolpath then you need to be aware that it is not "Model Aware" so to get it to do what is in the images then a small "fudge" is needed, you need to give the toolpath something to cut so I extended the Stock a small amount in the Y - direction and it does the toolpath as shown below.

In the X direction if the "Stock to leave" is enabled then the small radius at the front will not be done, that would require a "Finishing Pass" so I created a 2D Contour to remove that material, hope this is of some help 🙂

Small point, your tool does not have a long enough flute to go all the way to the bottom so I just set the depth so no collisions showed in the simulation.

engineguy,

Thank you very much for your help!  I really do appreciate it.

Yes, I also know my flute length isn't long enough, but it's such small parts it doesn't seem to cause an issue....so far.
