ISSUE WITH 2D CONTOUR - WILL NOT GENERATE

Hello, I am having an issue with my CAM program when trying to do 2D contours. I have used a similar operation elsewhere in the part but it will not work in this specific area. The contour should rough material from the back area of a hand grip on a part I am making. The contour I am selecting is a sketch I made by projecting the shape to a sketch plane. One weird thing is I can not flip the red arrows on the contour like usual. I click them and nothing happens. Like the title says the operation will not generate. It only goes to 2.8 percent and stalls. The similar operation works great for an inside radius but this is more like a spline.

The only way I am able to machine the part is to use a pocketing operation but it takes way to much time to ramp down each stepdown when it would be much easier to just come in from the side. In order to do the pocketing operation, I have to close off the sketch profile.

Any help would be awesome, I really need to get faster times on this part.

Here you go! Appears to be a bug in the project function. One of the spline edges are not being considered to be continuous. I've made a bug report that I will be submitting today. I've given you a work around in the video below.

Also, I found that by projecting individual edges, rather than the face, behavior was as expected

Thank you very much!!! It seems I will be able to machine the rest of my part without an issue. I didn't know about holding ALT. I was drawing sketches for all of my operations. Great video. Very helpful.
