As the title says, I cannot get an ID profile roughing toolpath to go below the top of a boss that is in the middle of the part that I am working on. If I completely remove all limitations from the toolpath, it somehow actually goes all the way down the middle of the part where the boss is taking out a large portion of the part, and then still doesn't rough out what I actually need. I assume this is a bug.

I am attaching the .f3d file. The operation in question is on the sub op with T6.

@warnerwerkswv At the moment there is a deficiency in the algorithm where the groove is not being machined because it is being capped off by the holder angle which is 90 degrees for safety reasons (since we assume there is stock in there). We are currently working on allowing the tool to access such grooves. But until then a workaround (admittedly hacky) would be to use a sketch to override the model and omit the boss in the sketch that is causing the groove to be capped.

Hey Akash,

Thanks for the response. I had a friend help me on this, and that was all that the two of us could come up with as well. I actually ended up just duplicating the model, deleting the boss, creating a second setup with everything after the adaptive and using the model without the boss to drive it. Big pain, and that definitely needs to be improved.
