How to view/export G-code in fusion 360 additive manufacturing tab?

After simulating the additive toolpath in SLM, I wish to view the G-code, but not able to do so. Kindly help out with this?

I don't use the additive manufacturing but  Under Actions there's Post Process. Does that work?

Renishaw machines, like most other SLM based machines, do not use G-Code as output format. Renishaw uses the MTT format. Go to Actions -> Create Machine Build File.

Hello,

 

Yes, I was able to export the MTT format, but how do I open the file? And any suggestion on how to extract the G-code for any of the SLM machines ( I just used Renishaw as an example, I can used any powder bed fusion/SLM machines)

As said, most powder bed fusion/SLM machines do NOT use G-Code. They mostly use specific slice based binary formats, MTT being one of them. Places, where you can find readers for these formats:
- the printer

- specific manufacturer software, I believe Renishaws is called "QuantAM"

- Autodesk Netfabb can read and write a couple of slice formats: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/netfabb/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/ENU/NETF/...

- other software 🙂

Hello,

Could you let me know what would the MTT file contain once i open it using Netfabb?

Also, could you let me know what file (equivalent to G-code) would be used for powder bed fusion?

In Netfabb you get a view on the slice data for each layer like it was exported:

There is no common format for slice data for powder bed fusion additive machines. Effectivly every manufacturer does its own thing. Often used formats are MTT, CLI, SLM.

Hello,

 

I can only download netfabb premium student edition wherein there is no powder bed fusion method.

Once i generate the mtt file from fusion, any idea how i can open it?

..or simply drag & drop the MTT file into Netfabb (Premium is fine)

One more question, i was able to generate a g-code file (using create machine build file option), how do i open this type of file? any other software recommendation apart from netfabb?
