how do i index for a plasma table?

Hey guys, I have a part that is 44" long and my table is only a  2'x2'. How can i index the part to cut on my table? I Found one vid explaining it for a wood router(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c7iN2NlSHA) I have two problems with how he did that though. I think i  need a different way of mounting the pins,  and i don't have a stock contours box because i'm using cutting not 2d. I tried drawing lines to stop the cut in half but didn't work. thank you.

If you break the sketch line, you should be able to ALT select the toolpath and get good results that way

Export and share the file here, if you don't mind

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Awsome, thank you!.  How would i get a little overlap on the cut? I think i'm going to  make the hole that's in the middle of the stock my zero point. That way once i cut the top half, i can slide the part up to where the bottom hole of the stock hits the  zero and proceed to cut the bottom. idk if its going to work but im going to try.  Looks like i have to make a fence somehow so i can slide the part up straight.

Hmm, it doesn't look like 2D Profile (plasma toolpath) has an option for Tangential Extension. I'll have to open a ticket on that to get it added. 2D Profile is literally the 2D Contour operation "under the hood"

As a work around, I'd suggest creating either adding on some additional sketch lines or splitting the sketch into a few different areas

Ok thanks, been modeling on it and will try that out tomorrow and post results. I'll try with a piece of scrap to see what happens if i start and stop in the exact same spot. Thanks.
