How can I add a curve between 2 coils?

I created a basic circular coil.  The image below is a zoomed in view of the coil wrapping around a cylinder.  I am trying to find a way to make the coil more of a "wave" and not have such deep spot beteene each one.  I need to 3d print this it woild be much easier if the space between each coil was not deep but instead rounded like in my image below (as seen with the red lines I drew)

since you made the coil, just change the profile shape to include that? Or try using the Radius tool to help fill it in.
