Help with toolpath for angled surface counterbore

I have a sloppy way to get around the problem using 2d Bore for a counter bore on an angled surface.  There has got to be a better way.

Look at Op 4 and you'll see that I project features on a plane then generate another body that 'fools' Bore to make the cut.

There has got to be a better way.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi @tgford58,

I really didn't find out why you made that other body.

You can select the holes and start at the right position see below.

Can you explain more about what you mean?

Yes, there is a much, much easier way 🙂 🙂

Hmmm, I have to agree with @Marco.Takx , I don`t see anywhere in your History where you created the Model so it is already Modelled and you have Impotered it, in Manufacture all that you need to do is select the hole faces and if you go to your Heights tab you will see that it has Defaulted to Hole Top and Hole Bottom for you, all you also need to do is raise your Retract to clear the block going between the Holes, see images below.

On my file you should be able to select Body 2, which is a rectangle.

When I was building the tool paths I tried selecting the cylinders before I created the body.  I kept getting error messages.  I tried this several times before generating body 2.

That said, I just went back and used the original part as my selected body in my set up and it worked.

So,  I went in removed body 2, deleted that set-up and started again.  Of course as both @engineguy and @Marco.Takx said it works.   Can we mark this one up to a SFO error?

Thanks guys for being kind.
