Help with setting up multiple WCS for a circular pattern

Hi,

 

We are trying to get multiple work offsets from one part and one set of toolpaths. We then use a circular pattern to have 4 total parts on a 4 sided tombstone. I was wondering if it was possible to make the work offset rotate along with the parts, so we end up with 4 work offsets instead of the one that we get in our setup. Right now we are using one model, so we only have the one offset. Yet, we have one setup for each face. I am happy to try anything and I greatly appreciate any help.

Your description is very similar to how our shop setups tombstones.  Unfortunately, I have not yet figured out how to automatically include the Tombstone axis rotation and correct WCS change.  One previous post @Anonymous mentions putting the axis rotation in offset page but I have not yet tested that idea.   https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/hsm-support-forum/wcs-for-tombstone-job-on-hmc/td-p/6665545

 

What we are currently doing is create all the tool paths on one complete part, which sounds exact what you have done.  Then, to have fusion output multiple wcs you need to edit setup -> Post proc tab -> Check Multiple WCS Offsets  & Define how many WCS you want in the WCS Offset Duplicates box.   Then we manually add in appropriate B-axis rotations at WCS calls in the programs.  We heavily use subprograms and subroutines so the main program is really just calling WCS & axis rotations.

I'm not very advanced at this type of thing and I might have misread your question but wouldn't you just create 4 of the same work offsets but with a different A axis rotational degree at each of the 4 instances or sides of the tombstone and then post process 4 work offsets when posting the code out Ie: g54 G55 g56 and g57  all at the same x,y,z but different A #'s?
