just finishing a relatively complex part here that will be out of 4140PHT. ive got a problem with the finishing toolpath leaving corners not machined.. not to sure what to do about it.. ive fiddled with a few settings and nothing really fixes it from what i can tell..

also if anyone is interested in helping even more, my machine time for this part is probably over 3 hours and thats really just not to good.. i could use help overall just getting the cycle time down faster..Screenshot (5).png

Difficult to help without a file. If you can't share that design make something similar, export as an f3d and attach. Make sure the design has the setups and ops.

You might find you can use a far courser stepover if you machine the steep areas at 90° like this. Also machine the flat areas with a 2d contour. In the 2d contour op note the use of stock to confine the area machined.

In areas like this I set the bottom height 0.002" above the flat face, you could set less but might get scoring on the flat face.

File's attached.

Sorry missed that. In the attached I've used 2 ops, note the Pass directions are 180° to each other so the machine upto the shoulder.
