Help! Contour toolpath starting above top height!

Hi Team,

I'm sure this is a dumb omission, but I can't figure it out, and I'm hoping one of you experienced folks can point me in the right direction...

I'm trying to cut some grooves in a deep bore using a small lollipop cutter. I believe I'm using the correct toolpathing strategy, but the cut is starting far above the top height of my toolpath. In the simulation screenshot below, you can see how the tool is running along the (previously reamed) pink portion of the part before cutting the target grooves (grey). 

I think I have this set to avoid the reamed surface (red). When I tell it to add radial clearance to the red AVOID areas, I get an "empty toolpath" error.

I've messed around with a number of settings, but nothing I've tried has prevented the tool from running along the bore above the desired groove. Do you have any suggestions?

Its starting above because thats where your top height is set to. It will put the bottom of the tool at your top height. Based on your bottom height I'm going to guess you're using a .125 lollipop, you should change the .03 value in your top height to -.0625 and that should fix it

If you're not using a .125 diameter tool then change both top and bottom height values to -.5(tool diameter)
