Hi All,

I have an old interact with a tnc151b controller. great machine, had it about 7 years and I use it for my hobby.

I have always manually input programs from simple 2d cad drgs, Id love to get it going with cam.

I understand this can be drip fed and have an rs232 port, the problem I have got is i cant find a cam package which writes in heidenhain, or am I missing something? I understand I need tncremo to semd the program, but its the post processor I cant find.

Any help or points in the right direction on if fusion 360 would work would be gratefully received.

cheers

Paul

Hi, Just a few basics first, no CAM software directly writes in any machine language (Fanuc, Siemens, heidenhain ect), you have something called a post processor, you can find all of our generic post processors for free on https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts? here if you search for Heidenhain you will see a list of them.

I dont see one specifically for the 151 but I would start by downloading the one that is closest to your controller, and post out something simple like a facing pass, and a few drilling ops, just to get used to everything and check you are happy.

There is a dedicated forum for post edits, people in there will be able to help advise if you need any changes, https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/hsm-post-processor-forum/bd-p/218 but please read the sticky posts at the top of the fourm as this will tell you the basics.
