Fusion doesn't put out plunge feedrate by drilling strategy (circular pocket milling)

Hello

 

If I use the drilling strategy (circular pocket milling) there is no plunge feedrate anymore sinds the last update (

2.0.15509).

 

The output of the plunge feed is also 0. (see "No plunge feedrate F0.png" file)

 

Can you please fix this as soon as possible.

Yep, we've logged this ticket and are working on a solution. It's related to the update recently where we changed the drilling feed options

Is there a solution to this issue yet? Having the same problem. Haas Pre-NGC post, that I saved locally, even if adding a feed-rate, post still returns F0.

@TLJFab No, there hasn't been a solution (in using the Drilling toolpath). Since you're on a Haas, why not use the Circular or Bore toolpaths that exist already? It's been my impression that the Drilling "Circular/Bore" were better suited to machines that had specific cycles such as Siemens and Heidenhein

I preferred the circular pocket in the drilling app because it started in a helical pattern from the inside out and included an extra finishing wrap. I've been unable to get bore or circular to do this. There is an option to lead from center but it's in a straight line rather than starting at a smaller diameter then increasing to the specified diameter. I used it a lot. It also had the benefit of setting a drilling op, then copy the op, switch to an endmill select circular pocket, set the diameter, cycle start. Very efficient at making a hole to size. Really would like to see this come back. I've got roughly 100 programs that this is used in, maybe more, now if I need to got back and change something, I have to spend a bunch of time re-working toolpaths because the post will fail every time because of this change.

I think we've fixed this internally, but if you could mention what post processors you're using, I'll take a look and see

Just to clarify; I did not specify which release that would be. While it "should" be in the next release, there's always the real possibility that something goes wrong and that particular fix doesn't make it in
