Fusion 360 CAM Engrave Broken

I'm trying to use the engrave feature to engrave a letter.  Is there not a way to select all the characters in the letter???  every contour I select is extremely slow.  I'm experiencing 30-60s per line of a character.

Please give users the ability to select groups of contours and please speed the selection up.  I'm using a 2014 Macbook pro.

Thank

JIm

This is probably not the best way to do the engraving inside the 3D- model.

How about making a separate plate and a separate file with text in curves for engraving ( eg Illustrator or similar )?

3D- model is not necessary for laser engraving .

Not wanting to do laser engraving.  Using a 90 deg v-groove bit in a routerin Red Oak.  The V-carve effect of the engrave operation is what i'm looking for.  I also teach my students CAD and CAM and Fusion 360 is the easiest way to do it.  So I would really like to be able to practice what I teach.  I really don't want to use the Vetric software to do this.

I took a look and had similar results. I would suggest just making a separate toolpath for each word so the software doesn't get so bogged down with selections. Once you have the first as you like it, duplicate and select new geometry. It sucks but it's less sucky than waiting 15 minutes per letter selection and hoping you don't crash.

great minds think alike. I've tried creating a new model to see if the file was corrupt and still got the same results. The characters are just too much for the software.
