First shot at FUSION 360 CAM produces 29000 lines of code with

Hello Everyone

 

We are having our first shot at FUSION 360 CAM

 

The code comes out around 480,000 Characters and the Machine (Dugard Eagle 850. Fanuc series Oi-MC) accepts 125,000?, obvious something gone wrong?

 

We have training setup in the next few weeks but thought we would work through the tutorials first.

 

Anyone see anything obvious?

Nothing looks too out of place here.

 

I'm not familiar with that control, but you should be able to drip feed the code to it - that should get you round the character limit.

Hi Seth,

im working with Geoff on this problem in the workplace, as i am now generating the code without N numbers now i believe the issue is size. The machine is now allowing me to drip feed this large program into it however. The memory capacity of the machine is measured in characters and the program in question exceeds this buy 4 times.

What is the material being cut? When memory is an issue, I suggest abandoning Adaptive toolpaths wherever possible and using 2D Pocket instead. For example, your "Rough C/Bores" clocks in at 35.7lb, but switching to a 2D Pocket is only 8.1kb, just a thought...

i recomend you to take a look at the smoothing tolerance
