how the mesh size can be customized for slicing with Fusion 360?

because the printed object isn`t as good as should be because of the rough facets at rounds or diameters

Hi @michael_marx ,

I have had this issue before. You will most like need to re-export the mesh from the original file if you can, or (if not possible) remesh it inside Fusion 360.

Please se ethis page on our Fusion 360 Support Page on how to remesh & repair mesh bodies ready for manufacture:
https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-51F38D62-1D38-4AC5-BAC3-C0A315C14703

Feel free to reach out to me again if needed!

Hi Tom,

this could not be true 😮

If i design inside Fusion and have to export and reimport the design to customize the mesh for inside slicer i don´t use Fusion anymore for this task. Instead i use Cura because the workflow from Fusion to Cura is easier than in Fusion itself!!

I think you are miss understanding him.

If you go into the fusion file and export to mesh, just like you did before. And choose more accurate settings, does it produce the same results?

Hi @michael_marx,

Apologies, maybe I mis-understood what your issue is.
If you are having issues with the mesh resolution/accuracy of the model you want to print, then you will need to either export the mesh again with more accurate settings, or remesh the model to improve the mesh resolution.

However, if the issue is the mesh resolution that Fusion generates with slicing, then please see below:

We are aware of this issue, and are able to reproduce it. A fix will be implemented this release on the 19th January.

I'm afraid there's no workaround currently -  thanks for bearing with us!

Please see my attached images "Current Fusion FF faceting.jpg" and "January Update Fusion FFF Faceting.jpg" to see the improvement the January release will bring.

Please reach out again if this doesn't answer doesn't satisfy you.

Hi @michael_marx ,

I'm afraid it isn't, but this is something being discussed for the future.

Many Thanks,

Tom
