face operation not producing correct G code? (solved)

okay this is weird, and maybe i'm doing something dumb - but just please watch the video and help me if you can or help me confirm that fusion 360 is borked.  🙂

okay, i'm an idiot.  when you specify "length" of the stock, it obviously adds material to the top and the bottom.

 

so if i specify a 0.6 stock length it will add 0.05 to the top and 0.05 to the bottom, and when i face it, it will just shave off the 0.05 off the top.

 

i'm going to leave this post up in case someone else n00bs it up like i did and can learn from this mistake.

Looks like the Model Position is messing with it and you can't see the other .05" under the boss height. Set it to Offset From Top and enter .1"

 

Also as an aside, a "tenth" in machinist lingo is generally .0001" Smiley Wink
