Engraving tool path doing square instead of circles.

So my engraving toolpath is doing some weird things check all the basic cannot figure it out. 

In the image is shown a circle that is engrave as a square. Toolpath selection are the two circles. Tried other configuration doing the same.

Hope someone can help need to get that fixed ASAP.

Can you upload your Fusion f3d file so it can be diagnosed easier ??

Go to:-

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach to your reply.

The issue (as you've discovered) lies in arc moves. One possible workaround that I can think of:

Export the sketch as a DXF, bring it into another CAD (or art) program and convert arcs to splines. Export it back out and back into Fusion, you should be able to do the engraving. Yes, it's a downright pain in the butt, we're very sorry about this....

Can I revert back to a previous version of F360? If so, how?

Couple bits of disappointing news for you

1) No, a rollback is not an option with Fusion

2) A fix is being worked on, but it's not going to be immanent.

I feel you, I have been struggling a lot with clients. No understanding it's out of my hands.

Same problem here, my workaround is slightly less accurate but works with decorative circles - create 2 ellipses that are 0.1mm taller than they are wide instead of the 2 circles - visually it's a circle but fusion treats it like 2 splines.

This bug really does need fixing, unpredictable tool movement is a danger.

Thanks for the tip on the ellipse - that might save me on some jobs. Totally in agreement about fixing this bug. Overall, I love that AD has brought so many new functionalities and advances to Fusion ... but first do no harm.

Just did a quick test the ellipse can be minutely out of round, eg 0.00001mm from round and fusion still treats it as a spline. 

Bit slower than circles....but in a pinch works as a workaround.

Apologies 0.0001 seems to be the limit..After this fusion treats it as a circle.

Arcs and imported svg files with circles or part circles are also affected...this is turning into a real issue!

Another workaround you can try is create a plane at an angle for the engraving. See attached file. Note I needed to set the top height to model top.

In this test I set the plane at an angle of 0.01° for the filleted rectangle on the left.
