Engraving Cursive Text and Overlapping Text

I have a questions on Engraving text generated in Fusion.  I want to engrave Fusion text into a surface.  My challenge has been that I imported a fancy, curly font and so the letters overlap (like cursive handwritting). 

The engrave command can follow each individual letter just fine.  (Sketch the text, explode the font, the characters turn into green, unfixed lines, and away I go).  However, where the characters overlap I want to be a continuous, so I went back into Model and trimmed the overlapping lines.  The new lines are now purple (fixed?) lines.  The Model recognizes these as closed loops since they will fill brown when cursored over.  However, occasionally, when I do this, in CAM, they are no longer detected as one continuous geometry for the Engrave command to recognize.  I say occasionally as I have gotten this approach to work on some but not others.

Based on the uploaded file, the problem seems to be in the "-eter" in the Peter text.

@Anonymous here you go mostly fixed 

what I did was take it off fix unfix so all lines where pink, used break to break the line and cut away the overlapping lines. 

then I press pulled it down 3 mm. in this case because of the broken lines it would of take too much time to select all lines it's easier to select a faces.

then in cam I selected all the bottom faces of the press pull set the bottom height to stock top -3  top height to stock top 0.

and it works.

when it's a pain to select lots of lines just press pull it down if it's imported text press pull will save you a tonne of time

@Anonymous the problem was the locked and unlocked sketch getting rid of that closed it, you can go back and lock it and use offset to set the tool depth, press pulling it down is the way I like to do it.

I wanted to know how feasible and cost associated a project might be, !. I desire to make some votive candle holder using a 3 1/2" O.D 3" Ht light walled copper piper 2. the copper would have a cursive script between 10 to 15 characters  example: St Theresa of Jesus and be accompanied with a symbol such as a Dove,  1. quill pen,  Stemmed flower or a christian emblem.

this project is non profit and intended to be donated, so the overhead is limited. any feedback would be greatly welcomed. I already have the donated copper pipe and would like to proceed to the next step and it is here where I need the most help.
