In your post processing dialogue is there an option called useRadius? Set that to Yes and you're set.

Alright, which post processor are you using? I searched the post library (found here: http://cam.autodesk.com/posts/ ) but did not come up with a techno cnc specific post. If you are using a custom post could you attach it here?

I got the post from http://cam.autodesk.com/partners/#shop-maker > Techno CNC.  I have attached it for your convenience. I appreciate the help

Hello,

I have seen something goofy many years ago with posting with R instead IJ codes.  The arc was not correct and when I change the post back to I and Js the arc was correct.  I was not using Fusion and it was a 1994 Haas.  Just my experience so I don't use Rs for cutting radii anymore.

My 2 cents  🙂

@RashestHippo your post does not have Radius in it at all, you will need it added

if you do a search here you may find what you need http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-hsm-hsmworks-cam/ct-p/213

I have been tinkering with this for the past 20 minutes and as best I can tell the useRadius feature is built on a lot of other sections in the post processor that are missing from the official release provided for the Techno CNC control.

My question then becomes this: why do you want the radius output instead of IJK? If the machine isn't running as well as you'd expect or desire, perhaps it is another issue that can be addressed. If it's a code-readability issue or just a formatting preference, perhaps bringing it to the attention of the developers would be a better solution so they can change the post properly and support it in the future. I can't be sure of why it's not included but there may be a reason.

I believe I have a working post with R values. I have added the useRadius selection, off by default, to the Techno post processor and backplotting shows the same toolpaths when enabled as disabled (and against the original post).

As usual, test with extreme caution!

Considering the post he provided is not set up for tool orientation then there would be no I or J values to replace with regard to a rotary axis. The post simply errors out.

NVM looks like you saw that.

@RashestHippo's reply was based on the fact that your link to the post processor subforum does not work for some reason:

Going to test this one: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/hsm-post-processor-forum/bd-p/218

I am hoping to try on Monday. I've been so busy that I have no time to tinker. I posted the exact same program for a 12" square one with the original post and one with the radius option on. once again, I appreciate the help and I will keep you posted
