DXF Sizing Problem

Hi Guys,

I 'm having problems inporting a DXF file.

The problem is that after I upload the file and open it in Fusion 360 then it adds a 0 to all of the measurments. For example 20mm becomes 200mm, and so on.

I cannot resize the original DXF drawing to compensate for the problem, so I need to try and find a solution in Fusion 360.

I have attached an example of the original DXF drawing of two eyewear lenses, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I had a look at your file and no units are specified in the file, unfortunatly when the are no units in the file Fusion defaults to CM so in your case 10x bigger. If you can't save the file with mm as the units the only option is to import, close the sketch the use scale, select the sketch in the browser and scale by 0.1.

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for looking at the drawing and explaining the nature of the problem in more detail, it is much appreciated.

I will scale the drawing as you suggested and I think that will do the trick.

Thanks again 🙂

another way to do it, is run it through Autocad 360 first to set the units then bring it into fusion
