I have a custom post that I can't get to show up in the post processing dialog. (Mac OS)

I have just moved over to a new Mac.

The file is located correctly in the ~/AutoDesk/Fusion..../Posts directory. Same location as the old computer. It is a .cps file. It worked fine on the older computer.

I have also uploaded it to my A360 drive posts folder (yesterday), but it is not showing up under cloud posts (and yes I enabled cloud libraries).

What is going on here?

I dropped the fanuc.cps file into that folder and it doesn't show either. Then I deleted F360 from my box and reinstalled from the App Store. Still no good. Then I tried to download the app from the F360 website, but it insists that I type in a "company name", you can't create a new one, and even if you select an existing, it stays "pink" and won't let you submit.

When I installed from the App Store, it DID NOT re-create the ~/Autodesk..... folder where the personal posts are supposed to go. From what I"ve read, it should have done that. So I think you have a problem with how your Mac install works? Is there a way to get the app download without having to fill out that silly "free trial" form?

Also, can you try to see why my cloud posts don't show either? I have uploaded that cps file to my A360 drive, but that is not working either.

Sorry for this thread getting lost a bit. I still have no idea what's happening.

What's wrong with filling out the trial form?

I don't use the App Store version of Fusion, so I can't comment directly on some of its details. If you think that's related, I would have to get with some people who can be helpful.

Just so I have it, are you able to send me the diagnostic logs from Fusion (Help -> Support & Diagnostics)?

For Cloud posts, have you enabled Cloud Libraries?

Thanks,

  Jeff

I'm unable to get past the form. It wants a "company name", but it won't me select one or enter a new one.

I won't know that for sure until I've able to get a web download and install it.

Attached.

Yes, I have cloud libraries enabled. Maybe we can focus on why the Cloud stuff isn't working for now, seems you have more control over that?

Re the trial, I just went to the trial page (using Chrome), and was able to enter a company name just fine, and access the installer. Which browser are you using?

Thanks for sending the logs. I'll see if there's anything interesting in there.

Can you tell me what you have in your "Assets" project now, in terms of file names? I want to see if anything shows up in the logs related to those particular files.

Thanks,

  Jeff

I'm not seeing any activity relating to Cloud posts in the logs.

Are you able to zip up and send me the contents of the "M" directory (if there is one) in your W.login directory, under ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/<userid>? (Hopefully the App Store version of Fusion uses that same location).

Thanks,

  Jeff

@jeff.pek

I went and re-downloaded the trial F360 software using CHROME (rather than Safari) and was able to fill out the form.

After installing, I had to manually create the posts directory (~/Autodesk/Fusion 360 CAM/posts) and put the cps file in there, now it is found.

So there is something odd about that app store install.

Also, I still can't see it in my cloud posts, even though it is up there. But I don't need that now.
