HI all,

Do any one has the JG Converter to convert NC to JG file format. for my chines machine.

I have format my PC and i need this converter, because the machine accept only jg files. i have search every where but i could not find !!!!

please if any one has it. please share it with me

Is it simply changing the file extension? Do you have a post processor you can use that generates the code needed, but it needs to be a .jg extension? That is a very easy fix. Let me know what post processor you are using

To test a post processor, post out a SIMPLE program and give it a new extension that your machine will read. Once you have settled on one post, we will edit it

Thank you very much for your kind replay. So you mean the i need only to change the extension from NC to JG manually right ??  because before we had a program which we have import the file into it the exporting to JG file format.

what do you mean by post processor ??? is it the Hand controller in my machine ?

First, I think we need to establish something. What sort of file is "jg"? Is it a text document that can be opened up and read by a text reader like Word or Notepad?

A post processor is a file that you run. It will take all the CAM operations in your Setup and create the g-code program required for your machine. Every controller is different, and each post processor has to be customized to the specific controller. There are generic post processors to get us started on that, and many people find that they work sufficiently for their needs

Can you attach a sample program here? If it isn't a format that can be attached, just compress it into a .zip file and attach that instead

How are you, i have renamed the extension from .NC to .JG but the DSP show file is wrong.

please check the attached picture may help to solve my problem.

You still need to show us what a .jg file actually is. Can you put it into a .zip file and attach it here?

I did not intend for you to try to feed a .nc file into your machine. It is possible for a post processor (the file that generates the machine code) to output a file in any format you like, even .jg. We just need to know what the code looks like.

The problem is that I have format the computer and I don't have old files. I only have one file in the DSP.
So in this case what I have to do ?

Can you extract that file from your machine?

Without having the file, it's literally impossible to guide you any further. The file might as well be made up of pixie dust and positive thoughts

JG. JG..what? text? pictures? drawing files?

We need a file that your machine can read and understand. Contact the manufacturer of the machine for a sample file? Find an online forum where other people own similar machines?
