Can't select parts for 3D parallel in manufacture

Hi,

I can't select the parts in the red boxes (cf picture attached) while I'm setting a 3D parallel manufacture.

It is odd I can select the green parts just fine (the one in green in the picture) but for the other parts, it is choosing another path (it's the blod line in the picture)

I also put a side view attached for you to understand why I need parallel manufacture.

Do you have any clue why it is doing that ?

Thank you for your help,

Nolwenn

Just an idea, have you tried using the "Blend" toolpath for this job, it is usually a little better than the "Parallel", image below and example file attached 🙂

Thank you !

Why do there is a green box around the body ? (picture attached)

I couldn't find the option "blend" in "manufacture", I found a post in the forum saying I would need to run "CAM.betamode /on" in the Text Commands for it to show up but it turns out I can't access it with the free version of fusion 360.

So I'm back to square one.

Do you think my problem is something to do with the way I cut the body parts ? I sketched ellipses and extruded choosing to cut the body. The way I'm doing it is approximate because there is a magnet on the grid and not on the body parts so it's never 100% symetrical. But maybe that has nothing to do with my problem.

OK, if you are not able to access the "Blend" toolpath then here is a method of selecting the areas you want to machine, using a single "Parallel" toolpath will make all the selected areascut in the same direction, if you want the top two areas to cut in a different direction then you need to make a second "Parallel" toolpath 🙂

Hope the above helps
