Can 3D Adaptive Ignore a Gap?

Hello,

I could not find an answer that worked for me, so I'll ask just in case I just didn't understand the answers I found.

Is there a way to get 3D Adaptive to ignore a gap to make a continuous pocket? Photo attached.

Thanks,

Kris

Yes there's a few ways of achieving this depending on the particular Geometry you are trying to avoid.

If you could upload your .f3d Fusion file I can make some suggestions.

It would be better to see the full model....but typically filling the "gap" with a surface or even another body and then adding that surface/body to the adaptive tool path would do what you area talking about:

Thank you,

My apologies for the late reply. I made a sketch that I used as a boundary, and that seemed to work pretty well. I am interested in learning all the other strategies as well though.

Attached is the .f3d

Thanks!
