Cam Error : "Failed to write Job File. "

When generating a 2D contour path initially the path was generated successfully then after making a small change to an offset I get this error:

rts19501_0-1589408204437.png

All of the other tool paths generated successfully.  I deleted the problem 2D contour path and then inserted a new 2D contour with the settings revised to match the one I just deleted.   It would generate and looked ok but I had to make a small correction and then it failed to generate with the error message above.

What just happened?  I searched the forum and cannot find anything on this error.

File is attached

Thanks,

Dick

Hi @rts19501,

The issue here seem to be the combination of multiple depths and chamfer.

I will take a deeper look but it defiantly looks like its something we need to look at from our end, even if its making a error message that makes sense.

Thank you,

After deleting and redoing that operation (for the third time)it generated a tool path And I did not make any changes and did not try to regenerate to see if the error occurred again so in other words I did not feel lucky so I did not push it to see if it failed again.   I agree the error message is very obscure.

Just to make sure i follow up. This issue seemed to be model specific. I uninstalled Fusion and reinstalled it was still an issue. I closed and deleted the model and made a new on and all 2d toolpaths worked after that. I still feel that its an issue because i was fortunate that the model wasnt to complicated and could be recreated really easy. The model was a set of soft jaws that I was preparing for a 2nd OP.

When you "delete" the model, it actually retains a copy in the "Trash" bucket in the cloud:

it would be very handy to see that old file and better understand where it was going wrong. You can restore it from that bucket and share it here, if you have a moment to do so.
