Below you can see my component/body visibilty when in the manufacturing environment, with in process stock displayed.
But when I switch to simulation I have an unexpected change in visibility. You'll see that the fasteners (their own component) switch to wireframe, and the jig (in red and also it's own component), switches to shaded with hidden edges. While the part component remains unchanged.
What am I not understanding/doing wrong here?

Hmm. Are those components selected as "Fixture" in your Setup? Could you share your file so we can take a closer look?
File > Export > Save .f3d to local folder, return to thread and attach in your reply
I've not attached the exact file seen in my original post, it was a bit of a mess. Attached is a 'cleaner' version of a similar part I've just programmed. I had hoped that by cleaning up my process that this problem would resolve itself. But I am seeing the same issue.
Couple of things to note. The fixturing comes into play in setup 3, and I'm dealing with undersized stock. These bodies are also not selected as fixture bodies in any setup.

I do wonder if you have some graphical setting different than what I do, or perhaps a Preference setting.
Oh hey, I stumbled upon this myself on a job I was working on. If you scroll down in the Simulation menu, you'll find this little gem:
Crank it all the way to the right, that should solve the issue.
