C axis alarm when trying to radial drill on Sub Spindle - Haas ST20Y

I am getting a c-axis alarm when I try to drill radially on the sub spindle of my ST20Y.

I have the G14 in there and my program works all he way to the hand off, instead of positioning the sub, the main will position and then will throw the c-axis disabled error. It happens at the G0 C135 line.

Hi

Do those Haas even have a C axis on the Sub?

I thought they were pretty limited on what stuff you can do with the sub spindle.

The Haas website only mentions being able to orient the spindle +- 0.02deg, no C axis control for the Sub

There's a video of the sub doing milling and drilling work, I think that's just the accuracy when the spindle orients.

I've not run the Haas lathes (or mills, to be honest). Is there a code to designate that the C axis orientation needs to take place on the sub spindle? Like @a.laasW8M6Tm, I wasn't aware that the Haas subs were for any more than turning 🤔

You can do mill and drill ops on the sub. When you go to post code, under the post properties, you need to choose positioning only from the Got secondary spindle option:
