Blend Tool Path Not Extending Properly

Hi all,

I can't seem to for the life of me to get the tool path to extend properly. I've done the usual offset surface and extend but it doesn't seem to work. Have also tried using the 'model' function in the Geometry tab but without much luck.

Please can someone explain what I'm missing here.

This is a bit of a detour, but it works...

See attached file.  I copied your part, and had to cut out the bottom, to allow offsetting the main diameter.  Then in the operation I picked that as the model (without the check box to include setup model).

Anyways, have a look, I think it does what you need, but not in a quick way I guess.

If this is what you want to do, please redo it in your original file, I'm not sure what I've tempered with in this file while I was trying stuff...

EDIT: I got yours to work, sort of, you might have had the box checked under model, to include the setup model.  I did a few other things which I can't remember, it sort of worked...  but it was cutting 2 surfaces on the outside, so that would be a no go.  This is what made me decide to offset the actual model instead.

Thanks for this, it has worked on my original file. Does seem like an odd work around just for extending a tool path.
