April 19 Update Issue in Manufacturing- Quick Fix

Hey everyone,

We deployed our April 19 minor update a few minutes ago. This update has an issue where a live update to the latest will remove the Manufacturing workspace for Windows users.

If you have updated to build 2.0.12883 and are not seeing the Manufacturing workspace, uninstall / reinstall Fusion 360 and it should resolve the problem.

I gave the quick tip a try ,i lost manufacturing .tried to uninstall with removal tool it errors out when trying to uninstall ,so i can not uninstall and i can not replace the version .
Any suggestions as to what to do ,you would think they would test this garbage before they push this update out ,i have had nothing but trouble Cam crashing when selecting tools and i would rather have the older version because this one stinks!

@woffler1

If you're on Windows, all you have to do is go to your Start Menu, type in "Uninstall" and select the proper option. Scroll down to "Fusion" and just uninstall it.

And hey, it's not garbage and you know that full well. If you have specific issues, please start a thread and supply as much information as possible.

We still have manufacturing but whenever we attempt to start a new setup or load a file with manufacturing the software stalls, we can't access most of our file therefore and cannot effectively start any CAM work.

Ive tried reinstalling but the problems remain.

Really need some help here.

@Jamie_Josef_Fry is this for every file, or one in particular?
What operating system are you on?

Its every file with some manufacture element in it for cnc, the files we have made for 3d printing open fine. Ive attempted to make a 100mm x 100mm x 20mm box and when we try to create a new setup after the axis and origin are assigned and upon clicking ok the curser turns to the spinning wheel of death indefinitely.

We're using a MacBook with OSX Catalina.

Okay, this is a different issue than what @jodom4 posted about, as this is for Windows users. Let me ask around and see if there are any other Mac specific reports of this issue

What build number (for Fusion) are you on? You will find that in the "About" at the top right of your Fusion

Hi @Jamie_Josef_Fry

Are you certain that the update ran before you reinstalled? Reinstalling would have brought you back to the pre-update build. Would you be able to share any of the files that are displaying the problem?

Cheers,

Karina

We're thinking this is not related to the update MFG issue - I think it might be best if you created a support ticket and we can help you more directly. Otherwise we can move to a new thread and keep digging there!

My issue with missing drawings is fixed by me downloading my three drawings and re-doing manufacture.  Tried to respond to everyone that replied but got an error message from the postman that they could not be delivered.  Thanks everyone!  my build is level 2.0.12670

After two days of trying to cleanly remove fusion and reinstall repeatedly to the same issue and with a furious project manager asking where we are with the machining everyday we now have a fusion only machine on a fresh ssd and it can open the files with fabrication and make new fabrication setups. Ive no idea what was wrong, Whatever it was it seemed to be some legacy fusion files somewhere on the old system causing trouble.

Will at some stage go back and try again as allll our other files are on the old SSD but it'll have to be after this project.
