Anilam Crusader II post

Have used the generic Anilam M post, but output is in conversational format.   IE; ARCCW xyzijk versus G2xyzijk.

Looking for post or steps to modify existing generic post to create RS232 format output.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Just recently achieved the goal of upload/download from the Anilam Crusader II.

It would be VERY convenient to be able to post tool path code direct from Fusion360; even if some manual editing is required.

Have you tried the RS232 post that's supplied with Fusion, it will be easier to modify that than trying to modify the conversational one.

Couldn't find RS232 but tried RS274; sort of worked; looks more like what came out of the machine on a sample program than the Anilam post put out.

I tried the conversational program and was surprised to find that it didn't error out the control and actually did run.

Movement was not correct, but it's a start.

Upload/Download is a big gain for me right now; getting code out of Fusion360 that can go to Anilam will be HUGE when I get it to work.

Attached files to illustrate format differences;

Anilam Test.m = Anilam post

Anilam Test 2.m = RS274 post

thrdmill = Output of sample program (not same tool path)

Is there any update on the post for the Anilam II? I am trying to get my Anilam Crusader M going on my 3 axis mill and was hoping it may work.

Thanks,
Steve

I have one that was sent to me. Have no idea if it works. I went with Gibbscam that already had several posts that already worked.

No. I am working with Serge Quiblier from Autodesk to try to figure it out. I just tested the last post processor he sent and it didn't work. It got stuck in a weird loop and just kept doing the same thing over and over again with no further motion in x,y, or z. However, on a positive note it did not error out.

I will continue to use Gibbscam until they get it figured out.

Thanks,

Steve
