2 part question

1st,

Someone please tell me there is a way to micro lift, instead of retract between cuts. Ive used Mastercam my whole career, and the way they micro lift between cuts is awesome. Im testing out 360 now to see if I want to make the change over. But this could be a deal breaker.

Instead of a full retract, and rapiding over the part to the next cut, I want it to lift .010, step off of the part, trace the profile backwards to the next cut. Ive been picking different configurations, and the full retracts are still there.

2nd,

If you look at the other pics attached. I created a silhouette of the part, to use as my 2d profile. But when I select the profile line, it doesnt select what is there, but what it wants. How can I select the chain, with out it cutting off the right leg?

Set your Stay-Down Level to something like 90%. This will still let the tool jump over the part.

Your micro-lifts are already there at .01" as the Lift Height.

Edit: as to your selection, there's something odd going on, but hard to troubleshoot without the part. Is there any way you can upload it here as a .F3D or invite someone to the project temporarily?

Thank you for your response. I look into that as soon as I posted this. I changed the stay down to MOST. Works for me.

Also, the weird silhouette was also fixed. I deleted the original, and re-projected it. Came out good. Not really sure what I did the first time. But fixed now.

Thanks.
