5-axis deburr touching faces

Hi, how do I control how far the tool stays from the faces beside the chamfers?

Right now, the tool touches (becomes tangent) with adjacent faces, which of course renders this not usable.  There has to be a way to control the distance to faces... I can't find it 😞

You can see when deburring the top edge, the tool touches that fillet, which is bogus.  I tried picking the fillet as a check surface, but then it doesn't deburr the fillet from it's own sharp edge (see below).

Seems illogical that there is no setting to avoid touching the side faces...  please help!

PS: I cannot share this file but I am just after a setting here, I think the pictures show the issue.

Hi Seth, I've made a file (see attached).  I included a few pictures with red circles where it should not touch.  There are several adjacent faces that the tool touches where it shouldn't.  Hope this helps!

I've shared the file internally and will circle back when I have some guidance for you. I do see the issue, but I don't think we can improve the results while remaining one toolpath. At least, not presently..

Darth, this is actually a bug, in that it's touching other surfaces with the flute portion. We've opened up CAM-69943 to investigate. Since it's a ModuleWorks toolpath, it's going to get kicked to them to investigate

ok, thanks a lot Seth! I'm glad it's a bug (because bugs can get fixed).  But I don't see a setting in Fusion that would ask us how far the flute should stay away from other faces though.
